First and foremost, I want to tell you that I haven’t seen the first movie yet. I was only able to watch this by chance on HBO. But I still want to watch the first one though because I want to see how iconic Big Daddy is… or was.
We get to see loads of comic book-like superheroes and supervillains in the movie. They’re all in colorful costumes although those in the supervillain side are more of black and red colors. The only thing I didn’t get in the movie is what the hell is Chris’ problem?! After his mom’s death, or after he accidentally killed her, they fixed her things and boom. He saw a costume and suddenly decided that he’ll be a supervillain. He doesn’t even know how to properly hold a gun. Seriously. Is that what happens when you’re super rich and both your parents are dead? Before his mom died, he was all like “Let go of it.” and “It wasn’t an accident.” But things suddenly turned around. Is that how Chris deals with his grief? That’s my biggest issue in the movie, to be honest.
But on the bright side, I kinda liked Chloe Grace Moretz here. Okay, I actually like her but she’s badass in the movie and whoa. Her character, Mindy or Hit Girl, is absolutely, totally different from the other girls but she managed to look like them in one occasion. That’s one thing that amazed me a lot because she transformed like a year passed although it was just the hair, the make-up and the clothes. Okay. On to Dave or Kick Ass, he is so much dedicated to become a superhero once again. Unfortunately, there were a few big consequences. They formed some sort of a band of superheroes in which Mindy wasn’t a part of. They fought bad guy together but they lost their “Team Captain” when Chris’ group attacked their den and killed him. Like, what is Chris’ problem, really?!
These superheroes and supervillains are very comic-like (can’t get over the fact). Really. And they even have names like Dr. Gravity and Night Bitch which I found a little disturbing. Overall, I ind the movie unique, not really adorable but very strong. Especially Hit Girl and Mother Russia. Damn. Adrenaline, bitch. There are a lot of bloods in the movie, and watching it in high definition made me a bit sick of the sight but the movie still looked nice. Nice storyline and the actors, of course, were great.
