Mia Hall has everything in her life – a bestfriend, a loving family, a bright future at Julliard, and a loving boyfriend. But, one accident ruins almost everything.

If I Stay talks about family, friendship and love. The movie was a tearjerker and that’s from someone who has read the book. However, for people who haven;t read the book, the movie can be a bit confusing because of the scenes prior to the accident. Also, the lack of background music in some scenes made the movie look dull. Chloe Grace Moretz (Mia)’s acting was superb. The only thing that disappoints me is that Moretz is only 17 yet the scenes weren’t the type you see a 17 year old girl do. Apart from that, her acting skills were great and and convincing.

While watching the movie, I was waiting for my favorite scenes which were Halloween and Brooke Vega scenes. The Halloween scene was there but the Brooke Vega scene though, wasn’t included in the movie. This was where Adam and Kim asked for Brooke Vega’s help to distract everyone and they could sneak in and see Mia who was in the ICU. In the movie, however, Kim just told the guard about someone at the elevator so they could go inside.

The movie reached its goal to tear its viewers’ hearts. It was very lovely and I can feel lump in my throat and hear sniffs of the other viewers near me. The ending… the ending was awesome. AWESOME. No sarcasm. One word, CLIFFHANGER. This though, is how I wanted the movie to end because this is how the book ended. I can hear the people’s gasps and “What that’s it?”, like they were hungry for more. Truly, the film was great. A must see for all ages!
